50’s & 60’s
The Dream Boats
“If you took the charisma of the Beatles, combined with the fresh beats of the fictional band the Wonders from the 1996 Tom Hanks hit film “That Thing You Do,” threw in some attitude from Dion and the Belmonts and pour in a whole lotta pop hooks from Weezer, you’d have the blistering vintage, yet contemporary sound of Canadian rockers the Dreamboats. ” – AXS.com
Modern. Retro. Revival. The Dreamboats are creating a sound that is equal parts Chuck Berry & The Wonders. This quartet of Canadian boys delivers a high energy show that has audiences dancing the night away! After international tours in both Europe and California, The Dreamboats are ready to tear up the stage with their award-winning tunes inspired by the 50s & 60s music that they adore. Their on-stage antics are complimented by tales from their adventures on the road: from performing at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool (where the Beatles cut their teeth), to hearing how Rock n’ Roll came to Canada first-hand from the legendary Ronnie Hawkins, to swimming in Elvis Presley’s pool! The Dreamboats are bringing back sounds from this timeless era forward for a new generation to discover.
“It was truly the best stage presence I have seen in a very long time. It was the kind of performance that made you want to kick off your shoes and get loose.” -OPJAM BLOG
